Tailored integrative therapy combining person-centred, CBT, psychodynamic, and transactional analysis techniques to support your unique personal growth.

Therapeutic Approach
Alongside my general counselling work, I am certified in providing specialist support for clients affected by infertility, pregnancy loss, infant and baby loss, and bereavement. Through my bereavement support work with the national charity, Cruse Bereavement Support, I trained in supporting clients experiencing grief and loss with sensitivity and compassion. I understand that loss can affect every part of a person’s life and can often feel isolating and difficult to process alone.
As a certified trauma-informed practitioner, I work sensitively and collaboratively, always focusing on helping clients feel safe, supported, and empowered.
I believe therapy is about meeting you where you are in your healing journey and offering support as you begin to better understand yourself, process difficult experiences, feel more connected to your emotions, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I tailor my approach to each individual, drawing from different therapeutic methods depending on your needs. This allows me to offer a personalised and flexible approach that supports you throughout your therapeutic journey. Above all, I will meet you with kindness, empathy, and acceptance.
Person-Centred Therapy
Person-centred therapy is a humanistic and non-directive form of talk therapy that empowers you to lead the therapeutic process, guided by me as your therapist. I offer empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard in a safe, non-judgemental environment. This type of therapy focuses on your self-actualisation and personal growth, allowing you to explore your own thoughts and feelings and find your own solutions.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
CBT is a structured, goal-oriented type of therapy that helps you change unhelpful thinking and behaviours. It is based on the principle that thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are interconnected, and by identifying and challenging negative thought patterns, you can improve your emotional regulation and develop better coping strategies. CBT concentrates on supporting you, where you are now. It is goal-oriented, working collaboratively with me to set specific goals and develop practical, self-help strategies to achieve them.
Transactional Analysis
Transactional Analysis (TA) is a talking therapy, and sessions are designed to explore your personality and how this has been shaped by experience, particularly those stemming from childhood. This is achieved through skilful questioning and the use of various models, techniques and tools. While TA can be used in brief therapy, it is also well-established as a deep, long-term psychotherapeutic approach, particularly in dealing with deep-seated relational patterns and trauma.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy is a talking therapy that explores the links between your past experiences and present feelings and behaviours. I will help you understand how unconscious thoughts and past events, particularly from childhood, influence your current relationships and well-being. By gaining insight into these unconscious processes and patterns, you can develop self-awareness, make better choices, and work through emotional problems, even those you were previously unaware of. This can help you understand what you’re feeling now, why you behave in a certain way and how this affects your relationships.
